Most recently he was Chief Operating Officer at Boston Scientific (BSC), an $8 billion medical device leader. During his 15 years at BSC, Paul served as Chief Operating Officer; Group President, Cardiovascular; President, Cardiology; Group President, Endosurgery; and President, International. During his tenure, the company grew revenue over 20 times. Paul integrated two dozen acquisitions and led extensive product development, manufacturing and worldwide commercial organizations. Previously, Paul held marketing and general management positions at CR Bard and various marketing roles at Kendall (Medtronic).

Mr. Rushworth will participate on the panel "The Strategic Outlook on Medtech Deal-Making" at the Emerging Medtech Summit and will attend the event to preview new startups and network with other industry thought leaders.

Dennis has dedicated his career to bringing innovative life science ideas to the market. He is the Founder of SparkMed Advisors, a boutique advisory focusing on bringing creative solutions to medical device commercialization. Dennis previously was the Founder of Apollo Endosurgery [NASDAQ: APEN] and served as CEO for nine years from the company’s inception until 2014, where he assumed the role of President and Chief Commercial Officer. Prior to Apollo, he co-founded Chrysalis BioTechnology‚ a development stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing novel drug therapies for tissue regeneration‚ including bone‚ cartilage‚ and dermal soft tissue. He started his career at the IC2 Institute, a think-tank based in Austin, Texas focused on applied research in entrepreneurship and commercialization. Dennis received a Bachelor of Science with honors from the University of Texas in Aerospace Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Stanford University.

He has served on the Board for the Texas Exes and the University of Texas Men’s Athletics Council. In 2007, he was given the Outstanding Young Texas Ex Award by the University of Texas, in 2016 was named a Distinguished Engineering Graduate from the University, and in 2019 was named to the Academy of Distinguished Alumni for the Aerospace Engineering school. He is a frequent speaker and lecturer on entrepreneurship and innovation in medicine and serves as faculty for the B.E.S.T. Innovations Courses taught at the prestigious IHU Institut de Chirurgie Guidée Par L’Image in Strasbourg France, Taiwan, and Brazil.

Nick is the leader and Worldwide Vice President of Orthopedic Innovation for the J&J Medical Device Group.  He is responsible for making J&J the partner of choice for Orthopedic Innovators around the world.  He works to find the best external sources of science, technology and talent to bring transformational and clinically translatable orthopedic solutions to patients. He has worked in all segments of Orthopedics including sports, extremities, trauma, joints, spine, digital surgery and tissue regeneration.

Nick was in clinical practice for 10 years specializing in Foot & Ankle Surgery after completing his fellowship in Orthopedic Trauma.

As a physician, Jon Root evaluates investments in the medical field with a practitioner’s eye. A common investment criteria when evaluating business opportunities in the biotechnology or medical devices fields is: does this solution meet, or begin to address, an unmet clinical need? Jon goes beyond that: is the innovation easily usable?

“The greatest idea in the world will not be successful if it’s not practical to use,” says Jon.

Jon spent nine years in clinical practice before joining USVP in 1995 as a Ewing Marion Kauffman Fellow in venture capital. He became a general partner in 1997. Before USVP, Jon was on the faculty and clinical staff at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in New York City. There he was an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Director of the Neurology-Neurosurgery Special Care Unit. He is board certified in neurology.

“Efficacy always dictates the doctor’s choice of procedure or method,” Jon notes. “It’s critical to gain feedback from the people who will actually use your product,” he says. Whether it’s less invasive biopsy procedures or simple changes that make a tissue closing easier, considering the doctor as well as the patient helps optimize product design, Jon adds. “If an easier way is just as effective, there is opportunity for companies to make a difference. If a drug is as effective taken orally versus intravenously, the doctor will probably choose a pill — if it’s available.”

Jon is currently on the boards of USVP portfolio companies of Cleave Biosciences, eFFECTOR Therapeutics, HealthJoy, Inari Medical, Nuvaira, Okami Medical, Omada Health, Ribon Therapeutics, Route92 and Swoop. Jon is a former board member for the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA).

John has been a private equity investor in the healthcare industry for more than 20 years and has participated in the founding, building, and financing of companies, ranging from early startups to established industry leaders, across health care sectors including medical technology.  John is currently a Managing Director with the Healthcare Division of Wells Fargo Strategic Capital (WFSC), which provides venture and growth private equity and debt capital financing solutions to companies across most sectors of the healthcare industry.  Earlier in his career John was a Managing Director with ONSET Ventures and before that he focused on health care related investments for JPMorgan Partners and Morgan Stanley Venture Partners.  Prior to his work as a venture capital and private equity investor, John worked with Morgan Stanley as an investment banker serving healthcare companies.  John holds an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science degree with high honors from the University of Colorado.

Janelle Goulard is the Director of Health Investment at Pangaea Ventures, a world leader in advanced materials venture capital. Janelle has over 12 years of healthcare experience working in private investments, scaling ventures and management consulting. She has spent a large part of her career at GE Healthcare in the US and Europe working with both private and public health organizations. Janelle’s entrepreneurial endeavours include launching a population health technology platform that became a joint venture between GE and Microsoft. Prior to investing, Juan-Pablo led efforts in R&D and Strategy in Medtronic’s CardioVascular Division, including Pipeline Strategy, White-Space expansion, Business Development, and M&A integration efforts.  He was named “Medtronic Inventor of The Year” in 2008, and has 30+ patents, granted or pending. Subsequently, he served on the Global Brand Strategy team at Eli Lilly within the Cardiovascular business.

Juan-Pablo earned an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.  He conducted research in the Neuroscience Department, and in the Neurology Department at Stanford Hospital, while completing an M.S. in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University.   He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Juan-Pablo currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Boston-based non-profit, InnerCity Weightlifting, where the gym is used to replace segregation and isolation with economic mobility and social inclusion, disrupting the system that leads to urban street violence.

Greg brings over 15 years of healthcare transaction experience to SV, including deep private and public healthcare company investment experience. He joined SV in 2002 as an Analyst and later transitioned to the role of Portfolio Manager with both portfolio and lead fundraising responsibilities. Greg was promoted to Partner in 2019 and focuses on medical device and healthcare services investments. He is actively engaged in the financing, strategy, operations and acquisitions of portfolio companies.

Rob will share his medical device investment interests at the Emerging Medtech Summit.  Rob is CEO of Genesis Innovation and the Cultivate(MD) Fund where he focuses almost exclusively on early-stage medical device investments.

Rob has spent more than two decades bringing medical device technologies to market, including proprietary orthopedic materials.

Rob served at Tornier as Global Vice President, Research and Development, during which time Tornier grew from approximately $70M to $300M in annual revenues through organic growth of new products.  He holds more than 30 issued or pending patents.

Mar is a Principal for InCube Ventures and VentureHealth; investment funds focused on disruptive healthcare innovation based in San Jose, California. In her role, Mar wears multiple hats - from screening over 500 deals per year and managing due diligence to speaking in public forums and building relationships with Limited Partners. Julian Nikolchev is Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Strategy at Intuitive. He joined the company in 2019, bringing more than 25 years of experience in the development and commercialization of therapeutic medical devices, including start up formation, fundraising, team building, R&D management, clinical and pre-clinical strategies, operations, and general management.

He is the developer of several novel technologies and products in the field of arthroscopy, orthopedics, women’s health, interventional cardiology, neuroradiology, and minimally invasive access and delivery of devices and drugs. He is named inventor or co-inventor on more than 35 issued or pending patents. Nikolchev founded and co-founded several medical device companies, including Pivot Medical, a hip arthroscopy and sports medicine company; CardioMind, an interventional cardiology and neuroradiology company; and Pro*Duct Health, a medical device company developing technology for the early detection and treatment of breast cancer. He also served on the Board of Directors for Neocis, Neptune Medical Devices, and Escala Medical.

Takashi is an entrepreneur specializing in life sciences, an executive with over 30 years of experience and a board-certified plastic surgeon. Previously, as a founder and CEO of MediciNova, he raised over $180 million in private placements and a successful IPO in only 5 years. Prior to creating MediciNova, he also worked as the President and CEO of Tanabe Research Laboratories, USA, a US affiliate of the Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma.

Vice President, Technology, Strategy and Business Development, Medtronic Brain Therapies, Irvine, CA

Earl leads the Technology, Strategy and Portfolio Management group for Medtronic Brain Therapies, a developer, manufacturer and commercial organization focused on endovascular treatments for hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke, electrical brain stimulation treatments for movement disorders, neurosurgical enabling tools and therapies, and is responsible for external technology and company acquisition and licensing. Earl joined Micro Therapeutics Inc. (MTI) in 1998 as Vice President, R&D. In 2006, MTI became a fully owned subsidiary of ev3, which was later acquired by Covidien in 2010, and then by Medtronic in 2015. From 1995 until 1998, Earl was Vice President of R&D with Aequitron Medical, Inc., a manufacturer of portable respiratory care devices. From 1992 until 1995, he was Director of Engineering with Instromedix, a manufacturer of portable ECG monitors. From 1983 to 1992, Earl held various engineering and management positions with Pfizer, Welch Allyn and Hughes Aircraft Co. Earl has 25 issued U.S. Patents. Earl holds a bachelor’s degree in Physics with a minor in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego. He also holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth College and an MSEE from San Diego State University.

A veteran med-tech CEO, Michael Thomas is venture capital investor with the Inova Health System Strategic Investments team (ISI and IPHA). Prior to Inova, Michael was CEO of Appian Partners, an Annapolis, MD-based life sciences consulting practice. His med-tech experience spanned several early stage, growth stage, and turn-around ventures as CEO of Appian Partners, ReGear Life Sciences, NuSomnea, Tanzen Medical, Appian Medical, iSonea, and Sleep Solutions. Mr. Thomas was founder and CEO of Appian Medical, a digital health firm that developed an algorithm to diagnose Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Mr. Thomas spent 2.5 years as CEO of iSonea Ltd (ASX:ISN), a publicly traded global, asthma digital healthcare company. He raised $25MM for iSonea and increased the company’s market capitalization from $4MM to $250MM. He is a member of the Board of Directors for Circadiance, a specialty CPAP mask manufacturer. Earlier in his career, Thomas was CEO of Sleep Solutions, a VC-¬‐backed medical device manufacturer. He raised over $50 million in VC funding. Prior to joining Sleep Solutions, Thomas was EVP of Sales and Marketing for National Sleep Technologies (NST), where he led acquisitions of more than 80 sleep labs, making NST the largest sleep testing company in the US. NST was later sold to GE Medical. Earlier in his career, Thomas was Vice President of Sales at Patient InfoSystems (NASDAQ: PATI) and instrumental in taking that company public while delivering an 80 X return to shareholders. He began his career in sales and marketing at Merck and Glaxo. Thomas graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Microbiology.

Tak joined NEA in 2018 as a Principal on the healthcare team. He focuses on medical device investments.

Prior to NEA, Tak was a Venture Partner at Merieux Development Venture Fund where he led all phases of investment for healthcare startups, including sourcing, diligence and investment approvals. Tak also co-founded Lexington Medical, a commercial-stage medical device startup in the gastrointestinal surgery space. Prior to Merieux and Lexington, Tak was VP of Business Development for the Global Surgical Division at Bausch & Lomb, and was responsible for all business development efforts in the ophthalmic surgical division. Jeremy is a venture partner as well as CEO of Versant's Inception Sciences Discovery Engine. He brings significant expertise in the development and translation of novel therapies.

Jeremy previously was executive vice president and chief scientific officer of Ardelyx Inc. (NASDAQ: ARDX), where he led the advancement of multiple clinical candidates. He also served as vice president and head of RNA therapeutics, lead discovery and protein sciences for Merck Research Laboratories. Before that, he led the integration of legacy Merck and Schering Plough discovery and preclinical functions as the founding head of strategic operations.

Prior to joining Merck in 2008, Jeremy was the executive director of molecular and cellular biology, lead discovery and genomics at the Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation (GNF).

Kyle joined MVM in 2017. Prior to joining, he was a consultant at Bain & Company, working mainly in the healthcare practice to support medical device and healthcare provider clients. During his undergraduate and graduate education, Kyle was a prolific researcher and writer, publishing a half-dozen peer-reviewed papers on topics ranging from homologous chromosome pairing genetics to orthopaedic surgery outcomes. Kyle completed MD studies at Harvard Medical School and MBA studies at Harvard Business School. He also holds an AB in biochemistry from Bowdoin College.

His previous professional experience includes executive commercial leadership and management roles in the medical device and insurance industries, as well as private-equity portfolio management for Ambassador Enterprises. Ben was also the General Manager for the foot and ankle business at Zimmer Biomet, after a long career at Biomet. He holds an M.B.A. from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

A veteran in the field of biomedical engineering and cardiology, with a specialty in heart failure and transplantation, Dr. Levin brings more than 35 years of clinical and commercial healthcare experience to his role.

In 2003, with Mark Gelfand, Dr. Levin co-founded Coridea. His inventions and co-inventions have successfully launched or their patents helped launch companies including Ardian (Medtronic), CHF Solutions (Gambro), Respicardia (formerly, Cardiac Concepts), eValve (Abbott) and RenalGuard/Reprieve Cardiovascular (PLC Medical), Cibiem and Soffio Medical. He has held a number of positions in these companies including President, Chief Scientific Officer, Chief Medical Officer and VP of R&D.

Dr. Levin received his M.D. from the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine and his training in cardiology at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He also has a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering.

Ms. Dowd will attend the Emerging Medtech Summit to network with other industry thought leaders and preview the roster of startups.  Ms. Dowd will also run a panel on the critical issues surrounding early reimbursement and market access -- areas that investors, entrpreneurs and large corporates all are vested in.

Prior to joinging MCRA in 2019 from Johnson & Johnson, Ms. Dowd held the title of Global Franchise Director of Healthcare Economics and Market Access within Johnson & Johnson's medical device division. Throughout her tenure at Johnson & Johnson, Tonya demonstrated her leadership and drive for success across several medical device companies, including Biosense Webster, Ethicon Endo-Surgery, and Acclarent, where her leadership and innovative reimbursement solutions contributed to successful third-party payer partnerships, and adoption of new technologies in electrophysiology, urology, gastroenterology, otolaryngology, and general surgery. Ms. Dowd played a significant role in the broad market adoption of bariatric surgery, pioneering reimbursement pathways and patient access through collaborations with Johnson & Johnson government affairs, specialty societies, health technology assessment, and third-party payer organizations.

Paul is a Partner at Grey Sky Venture Partners. His diverse background has spanned across the biomedical and technology sectors as an inventor, entrepreneur, business development professional, and venture investor. Previously, he worked at the Invention Science Fund, a leading invention and intellectual property investment company.

While there, he worked at the intersection of healthcare and technology innovation and was responsible for in-depth market analyses and strategic business development.

Earlier in his career, Paul was a member of the Strategic Business Unit at KLA-Tencor where he managed B2B relationships, product development and global launches at key customer sites such as Intel Corporation and TSMC.

Paul holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University.

Bill has significant executive, operational and sales experience at premier technology and private equity firms. Ori Ben-Yehuda, MD, is Executive Director of the CRF Clinical Trials Center (CTC). As Executive Director, Dr. Ben-Yehuda is responsible for all CTC activities including trial design, data management, biostatistical analyses, event adjudication, and safety reporting. In addition, he oversees the CTC’s imaging core laboratories. He is also Deputy Editor of Structural Heart: The Journal of the Heart Team.

Dr. Ben-Yehuda was previously Vice President, Cardiovascular Clinical Research at Gilead Sciences. Prior to that, he was Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and the Director of the Coronary Care Unit at UCSD Medical Center. He also served as the Deputy Editor of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology from 2002 through 2010.

Dr. Ben-Yehuda will serve on a panel at Emerging Medtech Summit and will attend the meeting to network with other industry thought leaders.

Dr. Ben-Yehuda received his medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University in Israel. From 1999 to 2006, Mr. Hochman was a board advisor of Health Dialog Services Corporation, a leader in collaborative healthcare management that was acquired in 2008 by the British United Provident Association for $750 million. Mr. Usen is an accomplished and seasoned leader with more than 25 years of medical device and healthcare experience. Tim has served as Chief Executive Officer since October 1, 2018. Prior to joining us, from 2015 to September 2018, Mr. Moran served as President of the Americas, ConvaTec Group Plc (LON: CTEC) (“ConvaTec”), an international medical products and technologies company, offering products and services in the areas of wound and skin care, ostomy care, continence and critical care and infusion devices. Prior to his employment at ConvaTec, Mr. Moran held roles in sales, marketing and general management over the course of eighteen years at Covidien plc (“Covidien”), an Irish headquartered global health care products company and manufacturer of medical devices and supplies. While at Covidien, until 2015, Mr. Moran served simultaneously as VP and General Manager of both the SharpSafety and Monitoring & Operating Room divisions. Following the 2015 acquisition of Covidien by Medtronic (NYSE:MDT), Mr. Moran was named the Global Vice President and General Manager of the Patient Care and Safety Division. Mr. Moran also served on the CEO Advisory Council for Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed), a medical device trade association. Mr. Moran earned a B.A. in Organizational Communication at The State University of New York at Geneseo. Mr. Moran was selected as a director because of his broad commercial experience and leadership in the medical technology sector.

Before joining ClearFlow, Paul was CEO at VasoNova Inc.- a Silicon Valley based, venture-funded vascular navigation company acquired by Teleflex Inc. (NYSE, TFX), in January 2011. Following the acquisition, he was appointed President of Teleflex’ largest division – ARROW Vascular – having full P&L responsibilities for direct sales, US and overseas manufacturing plants, R&D and strategic planning at corporate level. Under his tenure VasoNova was successfully integrated under the ARROW Vascular brand. Prior to VasoNova, Paul was President and Managing Director of LMA, overseeing all European and Asian subsidiaries. Paul took LMA public in 2005 and later brokered its acquisition by Teleflex in 2012.

Paul started his career as a practicing CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) at Medical University Alkmaar in the Netherlands. In 1989 he joined Datascope Corp. where he progressed through successive sales and marketing roles with growing responsibilities. He has extensive global industry connections and is well-versed in setting up and managing international operations. He has traveled, lived and worked in Europe, Asia and the USA and is fluent in German, Dutch and English. Paul holds an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.

Mr. AuCoin is a seasoned clinical executive with broad experience in all aspects of medical device operations. He started his career developing software in a medical device start-up and quickly realized his love for early stage companies and medical devices. Randy’s career is reflective of his passion for growing early stage medical device companies and spans a broad range of operational and managerial roles. Prior to Exact Imaging, he was a key executive in three other early stage ventures, helping to grow the companies’ valuation resulting in four liquidity events including one company which was sold twice based on the fundamental technology which Randy helped to develop and commercialize.

Randy is President and CEO of Exact Imaging, responsible for the company’s strategic direction, key operations and overseeing the development and global commercialization of its ExactVu™ micro-ultrasound platform. He joined Imagistx (now Exact Imaging) in 2011 as COO. In 2013 he became President and CEO, successfully restructuring the company into a Canadian entity, driving the Company’s strategy and fundraising, and building the Company’s management and operational teams. He also architected and led the company’s multi-site clinical trial. Randy has also successfully raised over $43 million in financing.

Prior to Exact Imaging from 2003 – 2011, Randy was Vice President, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs at VisualSonics (sold in 2010 to Sonosite (SONO: NASDAQ)) and was responsible for the development and execution of all quality assurance and control efforts as well as directing all regulatory affairs and clinical programs. He directed VisualSonics’ achievement of ISO 9001 quality certification within its first 2 years of operation. He also led all clinical investigations including the original efforts into successfully validating the Imagistx’s opportunity leveraging the VisualSonics technology for prostate imaging. He also contributed to the quality system that successfully delivered over 1,500 VisualSonics high resolution-ultrasound systems with an extremely high-level of quality and customer satisfaction.

From 2000 to 2003, Randy was Manager of Engineering, QA & RA at Dicomit DICOM Information Technologies (acquired by Cedara software). From 1998 to 2000, Randy was a Y2K consultant with Ontario Hydro. Previously, from 1990 to 1998, Randy worked in cardiology as a principal engineer with Biomedical Instrumentation Inc. (acquired by American Home Products and re-branded as Quinton Electrophysiology Corporation). Quinton Electrophysiology was eventually acquired by Pruka Engineering.

Claude was previously managing ultrasound research within Philips Research in charge of the collaboration with Philips Medical Systems. He is also former board member of Eye Tech Care, which develops High Intensity Focussed Ultrasound technology for glaucoma treatment and act as coach for several entrepreneur within M2Care.

Claude is a scientist by training, who further specialized in Signal and image processing and a thesis in Medical Imaging. His qualifications also includes an MBA from HEC, NYU Stern and the London School of Economics.

As a child growing up in suburban Chicago with 3 brothers, Shelley learned that competition is good, but winning is better.  She learned to think like, and compete with her brothers on their level and through the process developed a “think outside of the box” approach to make things work that made sense to her. Things in life often don’t make sense – Traffic lights for example, are understood as red means stop and green means go. Not so on a video recorder! 

Over the years, Shelley pursued careers that interested her, such as residential and commercial construction, real estate development, and stock brokerage.  She obtained an A.S. Degree in Business and Finance, but ultimately developed an interest medicine, particularly Cardiology. In 1997 while writing her entrance essay for the Arrhythmia Technology Institute in Bradenton, FL, Shelley was introduced to her husband and relocated to California. The Arrhythmia Technology Institute adopted her essay, “The Evolution of the Cardiac Defibrillator” and it appeared as the introductory chapter to their textbook that year.

In 2000, Shelley’s husband, an Interventional Cardiologist, asked for her help in setting up a solo practice after leaving his group.  Shelley accepted the challenge and was successful in increasing revenues by 300% at a time when cardiology suffered a 54% reduction in Medicare reimbursements.  In 2007, after a friend suffered a Sudden Cardiac Arrest while on a bike ride, she set out to understand why a small, pocket sized AED has not yet been produced. A few years and 80 patents later, Shelley is leading the way to take ownership of a viable solution to combat Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Over the last 10 years, Shelley has drawn on resources from the experience of her husband’s cardiology practice to the meticulous authority of The Mayo Clinic’s testing facility to create a very practical and easy to use portable AED. 

Shelley has a passion for travel and has traveled to 30 different countries in the last 15 years….And her phone is loaded with random photos of public access AEDs… (Coffee table book coming soon!) Randy started at Cordis in 2001 as Director of Stent Marketing and had responsibility for the launch of CYPHER®, the first drug-eluting stent, in the US market in 2003. In 2000, Randy had responsibility for sales and marketing at Enmed, an Internet start-up with web-based technology for conducting clinical trials. From 1998 to 2000, Randy was Executive Director of Sales and Marketing for Vasca, a start-up medical device company. Quantason has perfected the principal implementation of IDUS™ for breast screening and cancer prevention. Under Edmond’s management, Quantason grew rapidly to become a $40M startup. Previously, Edmond served as a senior scientist at the California Institute of technology (Caltech) and an advisor to major medical device and MedTech companies. Subsequently, he founded BioQuantetics, a California Corporation that developed the fundamentals of the dual-mode hybrid platform, conceptually transforming the use of traditional ultrasound for targeted image-based medicine, screening and diagnosis. Edmond has valuable industrial experience and previously served as the Chief Scientific Officer of a publically traded company, National Quality Care, Inc. (NASDAQ: NQCI), where he invented the core technology of extracorporeal renal and cardiac devices, sold to Fresenius Medical Care. Edmond is an expert on cardiac implantable devices and the inventor of several medical technologies and devices including image-based dynamic ultrasound spectrography (IDUS™), wearable artificial kidney (WAK™) and wearable ultrafiltration device (WUD™). He has successfully led and raised more than $75M capital investments for his projects and companies. He is the 1994 awardees of the prestigious Van Dyke Prize of the American Physical Society and co-author of fifty awarded and pending patents. Edmond has multidisciplinary scientific and medical knowledge, has published his work in leading scientific and medical Journals and has lectured in more than 100 national and International scientific, medical and business events. He obtained his engineering and medical degrees from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa, Israel and his executive MBA from UCLA-University of California, Anderson School of Management at Los Angeles.

Ben received a BS in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia, where he focused on material science, biomedical engineering, and energy engineering. Most recently, Mark served as Vice President of Sales, Trade and Commercial Operations at Egalet. As one of the first commercial employees, Mark was integral in establishing key functions within Trade, Commercial Operations and Sales Excellence at Egalet in order to lead the launch of three products within the company’s first two years. Prior to that, he was an Executive Director of Decision Support and member of the U.S. Commercial Leadership team at NPS until it was acquired by Shire plc in 2015. Before this role at NPS, Mark headed up Sales Operations at ViroPharma until it was acquired by Shire plc in 2014.

Mark started his career as a sales representative at Alza, which was acquired by Johnson & Johnson in 2001. Over the next 10 years, Mark held a number of sales, training, operations and analytics positions of increasing responsibility within the Johnson & Johnson family of companies.

Ms. Allison Brown has 20+ years of diverse medical device, consumer and pharmaceutical experience in Healthcare. Leveraging her broad background in R&D, Marketing, Sales and Product Development, she has launched over 90 products/services.

Ms. London Brown has a career based in Women's Health divisions of Fortune 50 companies such as Johnson & Johnson (Ethicon Women's Health and Urology) and GE Healthcare.  As an entrepreneur, she has founded two previous start-ups, and is an advisor to other entrepreneurs, supporting teams through fundraising , strategic planning, and commercialization. Additionally, she has served as an advisor to CEOs, Corporate Boards, NGO’s, non-profits and government organizations.

She graduated from Auburn University in Textile Sciences, concentrating in Medical Textiles. Bryce is an accomplished global sales and marketing executive, having built and led commercial teams in the US, Europe and Asia.
